Sixers' Maxey Out 3-4 Weeks
Injury Report: Bone Bruise
Game 2 vs. Nets Update
The Philadelphia 76ers will be without guard Tyrese Maxey for three to four weeks due to a bone injury in his left foot, the team announced Saturday.
Maxey suffered the injury in the second quarter of the Sixers' 110-102 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night. He left the game after colliding with Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and did not return.
An MRI on Saturday revealed a small fracture in Maxey's foot. He is expected to miss the next three to four weeks, according to the team.
Maxey was averaging 21.3 points, 4.4 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game this season. He was also shooting 46.2% from the field and 34.0% from three-point range.
The Sixers are now 1-3 this season without Maxey in the lineup. They will face the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference first-round series.
